THE PANTRY

The Crossways Community Pantry is a very unique place  that allows people with an appropriate concession, pension or health care card to gain access to food, discounts at the Crossways Op Shop and other benefits.  Each month approximately 4 tons of food is distributed to  families in our local community.

What do I need to join?

All Centrelink recipients and Pension Card holders are eligible to join. You will get a membership card which will allow to shop at our store once a week.

What does the card entitle me to?

Weekly shop at the food pantry

10% off Café purchases (except specials)

15% off Op Shop purchases (except what's already discounted)

How does the pantry work?
We work on a handling fee rather than cost per item, except for some meat and prepared meal items.    This handling fee helps us cover the overheads of the food collection and distribution.

What if I have no money?

If you have no money you can still shop at the community pantry as we have daily free bread, fruit and veges are always free as range of other items, depending on availability.  Vouchers for use on pantry products that incur a fee can also be requested through
